Write about something that you believed as a child

Response: I cried a lot when I was younger so one day my kindergarten teacher told me that if I kept crying I would use up all of my tears for the rest of my life and I would never be able to cry as an adult. As a kid this sort of worked to quell my tears because I thought it would be bad to not cry at future funerals. I forgot about this fact a lot though so I ended up still crying a lot though.

Summary: We took our test.

Reflection: I think I did ok. I fell asleep in the last half so I don't know if I even finished the last few questions.

Write about an experience when someone assumed something about you because of a stereotype. What was the situation, and what did you do?

In “Girl” by Jamaica Kincaid, the mother provides her daughter with numerous expectations about how a girl should behave.
