Do you think adult children should ask their parents to borrow money, or should they be expected to handle their financial problems on their own? Explain your opinion and connect it to your own experiences, observations, or beliefs about family and money.

Response: I think it is perfectly normal and okay for a child to ask their parent for money, even if they are grown. Especially in this economic landscape many young people may struggle to make ends meet and if their parents are able, they should do what they can to help their kid prosper. I am not saying that kids should completely rely on their parents or that they shouldn't face the consequences of their actions but having small amounts of assistance from their parents seems pretty reasonable to me.

Summary: We finished Scene 1 Act 1 of Fences

Refleciton: This fierce scene was pretty interesting and has set an interesting look into what the next couple of weeks will look like.

Write about an experience when someone assumed something about you because of a stereotype. What was the situation, and what did you do?

In “Girl” by Jamaica Kincaid, the mother provides her daughter with numerous expectations about how a girl should behave.
